Medicinal Herb
Vegmo Single Feverfew is a delicate, frost-hardy flowering cultivar of Tanacetum parthenium that brings cheerful blooms from spring through summer. Growing 24 to 30 inches tall with a compact 12-inch spread, this variety thrives in full sun across hardiness zones 4 and produces charming single flowers over an extended season. Its light seeds germinate readily indoors or outdoors, and once established, it tolerates drought well while asking for only moderate water.

This cultivar's single-flower form offers an airy, garden-friendly charm compared to double varieties, with blooms stretching from March through August. Seeds germinate quickly in 7 to 21 days when surface-sown with light, and the plants establish with surprising vigor once they break ground. Even in colder zone 4 gardens, Vegmo Single Feverfew returns reliably each year, offering reliable color and an open growth habit that feels natural in any planting scheme.
Feverfew has long been valued for its ornamental daisy-like flowers, which brighten borders and cottage gardens throughout the growing season. The foliage and flowers are traditionally used in herbal preparations, though this cultivar's primary appeal lies in its garden display rather than commercial harvest.
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost date, keeping temperatures between 60 and 75°F. Surface sow the tiny seeds and firm them lightly; they require light to germinate, so do not cover them with soil. Seeds typically sprout in 7 to 21 days.
Harden off seedlings gradually before setting them out after your last spring frost. Space plants 1 inch apart, allowing room for their mature width of 12 inches.
Direct sow seeds outdoors after your last frost date, pressing them lightly into the soil surface without burying them. They will germinate in 7 to 21 days provided soil stays moist.
