Gnome Series Gomphrena is a dwarf annual flower that brings exotic globe-shaped blooms to gardens across zones 3 to 11. These miniature plants reach just 6 inches tall, making them perfect for tucking into tight spaces, and they flower reliably within 50 to 59 days from seed. What sets them apart is their vigor and extended bloom window, flowering right up until frost arrives when most summer flowers have already faded. The globe-shaped flower heads feel truly unique in the garden, offering something distinctly different from typical annual bedding.

These compact gomphrena flower heads are globe-shaped and genuinely exotic in appearance, unlike the sprawling plants many gardeners expect from the genus. They bloom prolifically and persistently, continuing to flower long after first frost hits other annuals in your garden. The miniature stature makes them excellent candidates for wildflower mixes, meadow plantings, and open garden spaces where you want color at ground level without towering plants.
Gnome Series Gomphrena is grown as an ornamental flower for garden display. Its compact 6-inch height and extended bloom period make it well-suited to wildflower mixes, naturalized meadow plantings, and open garden spaces where low color is desired. The persistent globe-shaped flowers remain attractive from mid-summer through the first frost, providing reliable color when many annuals are past their prime.

“Gomphrena globosa has been cultivated for centuries, and the Gnome Series represents a modern breeding effort to create truly dwarf, compact selections of this globe amaranth. The series was developed to deliver what gardeners have long wanted: smaller stature without sacrificing the plant's signature globe-shaped flowers or its legendary resilience through the season.”
