Quartz XP Series verbena earned dual gold medals, Fleuroselect recognition as a superior summer flower, and a reputation for strong mildew resistance that stands out in a genus prone to powdery mildew. Its compact 8, 10 inch stature makes it equally at home in containers, borders, or tight garden spaces, while its proven drought tolerance means it performs even when summer heat peaks and water becomes precious. From seed to bloom in just 80, 89 days, gardeners see results quickly without sacrificing the reliability that makes this hybrid a garden standard.
Quartz XP Series verbena fills ornamental garden roles where reliable summer color and disease resistance matter most. Use it in containers, window boxes, hanging baskets, and mixed plantings where its compact habit and consistent blooming shine. In hot, dry regions where typical annuals wilt, this variety serves as a dependable backbone plant that sustains color through the season without constant fussing.

Start seeds indoors 6, 8 weeks before your last spring frost. Verbena seeds benefit from a warm germination environment around 70, 75°F and typically emerge in 7, 14 days. Provide bright light immediately after germination to prevent leggy seedlings.
Harden off seedlings over 7, 10 days by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions. Transplant after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed, spacing plants 14 inches apart. Quartz XP Series establishes quickly, often reaching flowering size within weeks.
Light deadheading of spent flower clusters encourages the Quartz XP Series to produce more blooms throughout summer. Its naturally compact, bushy growth habit requires minimal structural pruning. If plants become leggy mid-season, pinch back growing tips to maintain a full, balanced shape.
