These hybrid bulbs flower reliably within 6 to 7 weeks, delivering guaranteed blooms even for impatient gardeners. Fantastica grows tall and stately, reaching up to 2 feet, and attracts pollinators when grown outdoors. Deer resistant and thriving in full sun, this variety combines ornamental spectacle with practical resilience, whether you're forcing it indoors during the darkest months or establishing it as a perennial in a warm garden.
Fantastica Amaryllis is grown almost exclusively for its ornamental flowers. Indoors, it's forced in pots during winter and early spring to provide dramatic color when outdoor gardens are dormant. In warm climates, bulbs can be planted in garden beds where they return year after year as perennials, creating focal points with their tall stems and trumpet blooms. The striking flowers also make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements.

For indoor forcing, plant Fantastica bulbs in containers with the top third of the bulb exposed above the soil line. Position in a warm location (65 to 75°F) with bright light. Water thoroughly after planting, then maintain moderate moisture without letting the soil dry completely. Blooms will appear within 40 to 49 days under these conditions.
In zones 9 through 11, plant bulbs outdoors after the last frost date in spring or in fall for winter blooming. Space bulbs 12 inches apart in full sun with well-draining soil. Once established, these perennial bulbs will return each year without replanting.

“Fantastica Amaryllis is a hybrid Hippeastrum, the result of deliberate breeding to enhance vigor, bloom time, and ornamental impact. As a modern hybrid rather than a species, it represents decades of horticultural selection aimed at creating reliable, fast-flowering bulbs suited to both indoor cultivation and outdoor growing in warm regions. The hybrid parentage of Hippeastrum hybridum varieties like Fantastica was developed to produce the large, showy flowers and dependable performance that home gardeners have come to expect from amaryllis bulbs.”
