Abundance delivers consistent yields across nearly every hardiness zone, a rare trait that speaks to thoughtful hybrid breeding. Yellow kernels packed with genuine sweetness, not the hollow taste of some commercial varieties. It tolerates both heat and drought, so you're not constantly coaxing it along during dry spells. The 100 to 109 day window gives you a predictable harvest timeline, and at 72 to 84 inches tall, it's substantial without becoming unwieldy in most garden spaces.
Abundance is a sweet corn variety grown for fresh eating, the kernels boiled or grilled straight from the cob in summer season. The sweetness and tender texture suit simple preparations that let the corn's flavor speak for itself.

Direct sow seeds into warm soil (60 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit minimum) after all frost danger has passed. Plant seeds 1 to 2 inches deep, spaced 15 inches apart in rows 36 inches apart. Succession plant every two weeks if you want continuous harvests throughout summer.
Harvest ears when husks are still green and silks have turned brown or dried. Kernels should be full and plump, releasing a milky juice when pierced with a fingernail; this stage occurs roughly 100 to 109 days after planting. Snap ears downward and sideways at the base to detach cleanly from the stalk. For best flavor, pick in early morning and cook within hours of harvest.
