Queen Mixture Cleome is a showstopping annual flower that commands attention in any summer garden with its enormous, spidery blooms measuring 4 to 6 inches across. Hardy from zones 2 to 11, these non-GMO cleomes reach 36 to 48 inches tall and flower in 70 to 77 days from seed, offering one of the most unique and eye-catching blooms you can grow. The real reward is their ability to self-seed freely once established, meaning you might find volunteers returning year after year if seeds fall on bare soil.

These flowers live up to their regal name with massive, delicate spidery blooms that seem to float on tall stems like fireworks frozen mid-burst. The Queen Mixture designation promises a diversity of colors in a single packet, creating a tapestry of hues throughout your garden. At full maturity, plants stretch 3 to 4 feet tall, making them dramatic backdrop plants or statement pieces in mid-border positions. Each bloom is so distinctive and dramatic that they practically glow against summer's green foliage.
Queen Mixture Cleome is grown purely as an ornamental flower, prized for its dramatic summer color and architectural presence in garden beds and borders. The tall, airy plants work beautifully as vertical accents in mixed flower gardens and create striking silhouettes against fences or walls.

Sow seeds directly into the garden after the last frost date, when soil has warmed. Plant seeds on bare soil or lightly scatter them on prepared garden beds; they will germinate readily and can self-seed in future years if allowed to drop naturally.
